I almost recently thought of buying a new Mirrorless, or a newer body for my 50D. I had a EOS M5 for a short time and didn’t find the improvements too significant and the built quality was awful in comparison! And as said good glass makes the picture: 24mm STM, 40mm STM 50mmf1.8 STM, 55-250mm STM. It’s worth it! More than any 3-digit rebels. Check out my shots on flickr! Schautshotz that is! I use my tamron all around 18-270mm a lot and am generally happy with good results! So yes, definitly the best for your dollar. I think that camera was ahead of its time! Still compares to many recent model and at times exceeds them! I originally bought it for the continuous shooting, but am happy all around! Easy to learn on.

Still have it, and won't stop using it till it falls apart! Most of my shots on flickr page are with 50D. Love mine had it years, changing soon as I am going to look at going professional, I need lighter and smaller so mirroless, I think I wills keep the 50D with the two primes i mentioned, Very attached!īought my 50D from canon in 2010. Built like tanks however, weather sealed body etc. things like the focusing system, no video, low resolution screen. īest bang for Buck, It is more about the glass and what you shoot! the 50D is great, I love primes 50 mm 1.4 and 85 mm 1.8 fantastic! Somethings are dated but you will find little improvement unless you extend the budget. Am working on a budget and the price of a 50d fits right it but I realise they have been around for a long time. Hi i'am in need of some help, I'm unsure if its still worth buying a 50d and I need some advice.
